CEO 2012 Primer

So CEO2012 is literally this week, amazing how fast time flies. Well here is everything you need to know about this upcoming weekend.

First off Player Pools and schedule.

Please be prepared to arrive no later than 10 minutes before your scheduled pool to check in with your pool judge. Once pools start if your match is up you will get DQd right away. You can also check the schedule tab for the Stream schedule times as well.

Virtually every Game at CEO2012 has a pot bonus from their respective companies as well as EVO Pitstop seeding points and 1^st place Bonuses to UMvC3, SFxT, AE2012 and SCV. All of this is listed on CEO2012 under The Game Info tab as well as rules for each game.

I’m very proud to have just about all of the best players in their respective games coming out to CEO as this should be one of the most intense and high level tournaments right before EVO in the world of Fighting Games. We have MCZ Daigo, MCZ Mago, EG Chocoblanka, EG Momochi, AVM Gamerbee, Kayane, CCG Air, IGL Bala as our top international players attending as well as all of the US’s best Including recent ECT4 Marvel Winner Fanatiq, EG Justin Wong, Ricky Ortiz, FChamp, Combofiend, Mike Ross, WolfKrone and the list goes on and on.(Jebailey’s Note: Sorry top players I can’t keep track of everyone coming anymore if I forgot anyone).

For Spectator Badges they are only $20 for the entire weekend and you will receive the same badge as Players with a different Lanyard. Remember this is a Bring your Own Controller, converter etc tournament. You are responsible for your own Equipment brought so always keep an eye on your belongings. Wireless XBOX Controllers are banned however PS3 DualShocks are allowed but you MUST bring your own USB Cable to connect then make sure to turn off the controller immediately after the conclusion of your match.

EMERGENCY REGISTRATION:

Please note that there is technically no onsite registration this year. This helps make sure everything runs smoothly so with that said Games have been capped so there are limited spots available per game. You will ONLY have from 10am-4pm Friday to register and fill up a bye on each bracket and will not be seeded in anyway. Emergency Registration is $50 for Venue Fee and $10 Per game. All Emergency Registered players can find out their Pool placements at 6 pm on Friday printed by the Judge’s desk(Announcements on mic will be made for you to find out what time you need to arrive on Saturday for your respective games).

Jebailey’s Note: If by some crazy reason there is an overwhelming amount of potential on site signups on Friday Morning a final decision may be made to add more spots but do not count on it. Your Pool Assignments will NOT Change no matter what so if you’ve signed up just check in as designated starting Saturday Morning and you’re set. I’m prepared to hit up Dave n Busters and win more Xboxs on the Fly.

ST Tournament of Legends will have no cap and signups are all day Friday until Tournament start time at 8pm Friday.($20 Per person and at least a Spectator badge is required to enter.)

Team Tourneys for AE/Marvel 3v3 will be run by the community. They are $15 per team Single Elim and may or may not be streamed. They Begin Friday 8pm and must Finish by Midnight

CEO2012 Official Raffle:

Starting on Saturday afternoon you’ll be able to purchase Raffle Tickets(1 for $2 or 3 for $5) with quite a few prizes courtesy of local sponsors and Focus Fire. All prizes will be given away and announced on Sunday between 3-6pm during KOF/Marvel Finals so you must be there at this time to receive your prize.
